1 / 2
Curator and researcher Nada Raza explores transcultural connections across the Indian Ocean, with a particular focus on the Arabian Peninsula and South Asia. Her work encompasses exhibitions, site-specific public art commissions, interdisciplinary residency programmes, research grant awards and peer-led programming.
As Director of the Alserkal Arts Foundation, Raza’s practice is grounded in contextual approaches and shaped by an interest in movement, exchange and the circulation of ideas across regions and histories.
For the Islamic Arts Biennale 2027, Raza will present a distinct exhibition contributing to the Biennale’s exploration of the arts of Islamic societies as a dynamic and evolving field shaped by movement and encounters..
