Hammad’s curatorial work has spanned some of the UK’s most significant platforms — from co-curating British Art Show 9 across Aberdeen, Wolverhampton, Manchester, and Plymouth, to leading the Turner Prize exhibition at Coventry’s Herbert Gallery (2021–22).
As Head of Research & Programmes at Hong Kong's Asia Art Archive, and co-lead of the 'London, Asia' project at Yale University's Paul Mellon Centre, he has shaped wide-ranging collaborative research.
His practice is rooted in care, collectivity, and inclusiveness — with a clear-eyed willingness to confront past and present political wounds.
