We are delighted to announce that the first two artists in residence at Dora House will be Claire Morgan FRSS @clairemorganstudio (October 2026) and Tahira Noreen MRSS @tahiranoreen (November 2026)! On hearing the news, this was Tahira's reaction:
'I’m extremely grateful to have been selected for the residency at Dora House and very excited to spend time working in London for the first time. My practice often develops through slow processes of cutting, repetition, and reconstruction, so the opportunity to step away from the pressure of producing finished work and instead focus on research, experimentation, and reflection feels incredibly valuable. I’m especially looking forward to exploring the city, engaging with its artistic spaces and archives, and seeing how those experiences begin to shape new directions within my practice.'
Tahira Noreen lives and works in Islamabad, Pakistan. She graduated with honours in Painting from the National College of Arts, Lahore. Her work explores movement, time, and memory through hand-cut, carved, and assembled paper works that draw from maps and everyday journeys, engaging with repetition and fragmentation. She has exhibited internationally, including in London, Edinburgh, Dubai, and Milton Keynes, and was shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2025. She is the recipient of the ADA Award in 2D Art and has participated in residencies including Creatives in Residence, Hangzhou, and Dastaangoi, Islamabad.
