This fall, Neela Asmaan welcomes Syed Hassan Mujtaba, our artist for the October 2025 residency.

We look forward to seeing his creative practices evolve during his residency at Neela Asmaan.

Syed Hassan Mutaba is a visual artist based in Lahore with a BFA in Visual Arts from Beaconhouse National University. Mutaba creates works using modular strategies to explore the evolving relationship between constant and variable visual elements across media like photography, video, drawing and installations.

As an assistant professor, he conducts drawing studios and lectures at Comsats University, Lahore, and Beaconhouse National University to date and regularly exhibits his work nationally and internationally.
