White Wall Gallery is honoured to present the work of Rehana Mangi and Sana Zaidi, whose practices delicately balance tradition and innovation, weaving personal narratives into broader cultural dialogues.
Rehana Mangi’s intricate practice fuses miniature painting, collage, embroidery, and the unconventional use of human hair to explore identity, corporeality, and memory. Her work challenges the limits of miniature tradition while engaging with deeply personal and conceptual themes.
Sana Zaidi redefines miniature painting through an intimate engagement with memory, language, and the spontaneous interruptions of daily life. Her pen and repedo works—inflected by her grandfather’s poetry and her children’s marks—speak to imperfection, vulnerability, and the fluidity of meaning.
‘Innocence to Experience’ is on view at White Wall Gallery until June 23, 2025.
