'Solastalgia' opened on Wednesday, January 7th and will remain on view until Saturday, January 17th.
Solastalgia speaks to a longing for a lost terrain, both physical and emotional. Through drawing and carved forms, the artist reflects on Karachi’s expanding cityscape and the quiet loss of nature within it.
Munawar Ali Syed is a multidisciplinary artist and art educator based in Karachi. His practice is based on exploring new materials and processes through drawing, installation, sculpture and performances.
The gallery is open from Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm.
