@waheedabaloch is an educator and a curator who has shaped Pakistan’s contemporary art landscape. She is the founder curator of the ArtFest Karachi, an annual platform hosted at the non-profit Sambara Art Gallery, encouraging artistic dialogue and experimentation.
Hailing from Mirpurkhas, a region steeped in artistic and literary heritage, her curatorial sensibility is shaped by personal roots, academic depth, and multimedia insights.
In 2024, she became the first woman to curate the Karachi Biennale’s fourth edition, presenting the powerful theme 'Rizq | Risk', which explored food security, climate challenges, sustainability, and social justice through an interdisciplinary lens.
Waheeda will advise and the on programs and acquisitions, fostering the visibility and support of artists from Pakistan and beyond.
