The work invites the audience to confront the effects of Faisalabad’s dyeing mills on river Ravi through time-based acts in which the appearance of the objects changes over days. Just like the body keeps a score, does water remember the traces of land it inhabited? Does it remember the violence faced by its ecosystem and the life in it and around it? How does it retain traces of the bodies and contamination it comes in contact with? When water is removed from a land, does its memory vanish or persist?
