Seher Naveed at The Armory Show
Aicon Contemporary @aiconcontemporary will present Seher Naveed @sehernav at Booth 237 at The Armory Show @armoryshow.
Naveed’s practice explores the socio-political development of Karachi, examining architecture as a reflection of societal aspirations and tensions. Her work focuses on the city’s topography and the physical barriers—walls, gates and fences—that divide it. Through abstract forms, she explores instability and the lack of freedom.
Naveed received a BFA from the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi, in 2007, and an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London, in 2009. She is a member of the advisory board at Vasl Artists’ Collective, Karachi, and the Murree Museum Artist Residency, Murree. Her work has been shown locally and internationally and is held in private and public collections, including the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art.
