With A Quiet Wildness, Muzzumil Ruheel transforms unspoken sentences into sculptural beings made of calligraphy. Creatures born from a sentence — and from the character it carries within.
The works revolve around thoughts we choose to keep to ourselves: sentences we only ever formulate in our minds or deliberately leave unsaid. Sometimes humorous, sometimes cutting, sometimes vulnerable. Why this sentence? Why this animal? And why this particular pairing? Ruheel deliberately leaves those questions unanswered.
From September 2026, we are proud to present the Pakistani artist in Hamburg for the very first time, in collaboration with the HIMS Academy.
Muzzumil Ruheel has exhibited internationally in galleries, museums, art institutions, and renowned biennials. His work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world and is now part of significant public and private collections.
