14th IBA General Assembly to be held in Lahore

We are delighted to announce that the 14th General Assembly of the International Biennial Association (IBA) will take place in Lahore, Pakistan, during the opening days of the 4th Lahore Biennale (LB04), curated by Nav Haq.
Selected following our recent open call, the proposal by the Lahore Biennale Foundation reflects IBA's ongoing commitment to bringing biennial professionals together in diverse cultural contexts and creating the opportunity for biennials in different regions to participate in our global cultural dialogue.
Hosted by the Lahore Biennale Foundation, represented on the IBA Board by its Executive Director Qudsia Rahim, the General Assembly will bring together IBA members, artists, curators, researchers, local partners, and the wider public through a program of conferences, roundtables, workshops, and public events.
For the first time, the General Assembly will also coincide with the opening IBA Regional Meeting for Asia, creating a shared platform where international conversations and regionally focused discussions can take place side by side. Alongside sessions open to all participants, the Regional Meeting will provide dedicated space to address the specific opportunities, challenges, and institutional realities shaping biennials across Asia.
Taking place during the opening week of Lahore Biennale 04, the gathering will also offer participants the opportunity to experience one of South Asia's leading contemporary art biennials and engage directly with its exhibition and public program.
