Frog Rain, a solo show of Sophia Balagamwala, opens on Tuesday September 2nd 2025, from 4 pm – 7 pm @ Canvas Gallery.
"How do we remember and imagine the natural and urban worlds from our childhoods? What are the names that we gave to the places we visited, the rituals we had, and games we used to play? Frog Rain explores a simultaneous grieving and joyful remembering of memories and spaces from childhood."
With a Bachelors from the University of Toronto and an MFA from Cornell University, Sophia is an internationally acclaimed artist with multiple awards, grants and residencies to her credit.
Faculty of the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, since the past 10 years, Sophia is based in Karachi, Pakistan.
The show remains open daily until Thursday September 11th 2025, from 11 am – 7 pm (excluding Sunday & public holidays)
