Naveed Sadiq was born in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan, in 1982. He earned a BFA with distinction from NCA Lahore in 2006, majoring in Indo-Persian Painting. In 2017, Sadiq completed his MA with honours from The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts, London.
Sadiq’s MA (Hons) thesis research at The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts, London offered thought-provoking insights into the timeline and lineage of miniature art practice, receiving immense critical acclaim and becoming part of the permanent collection at the Islamic Art Museum in Malaysia. In 2020-21, he painted in situ a beautiful historical timeline (7000 BC to 1947) at the Pakistan Pavilion, Dubai Expo 2020, which generated tremendous interest and critical appreciation.
Sadiq has exhibited widely since his graduation and was shortlisted as a finalist for the 2025 & 2019 Sovereign Asian Art Prize and won the 3rd Nigaah Art Award in 2024 in the category of Miniature Artwork. His work titled Lapiz Lazuli was featured in the 10th edition of the START Global Art Fair 2023 at the Saatchi Gallery, London.
