Living outside of the war zone of Gaza, one can only comprehend the extent of atrocities committed in the affected land from a peripheral distance. The works “Another Day, Another Site I & II” critically question the viewpoint of a bystander, unable to comprehend the level of destruction and devastation in the war-torn region. Therefore, the works allude to humanity’s distant emotional and geographic witnessing of the continued devastation from a powerless position. ‘Another Day, Another Site’ is a collaboration with Emad El Bayed, a resident and humanitarian worker, documenting the life and devastation in Gaza.
