Danish embassy invited outstanding Pakistan artist @imranqureshiartist as the artist for the potential releases offitial stamp which celebrates 75years diplomatic relation of Pakistan and Denmark.
This commemorative stamp explores the shared challenge of deforestation and our collective responsibility in addressing global warming and ecological preservation. Both countries, despite their geographic and cultural distance, face urgent environmental issues that call for a unified response.
The stamp embodies a minimal, organic aesthetic that honours Scandinavian sensibility in art and design, with a nod to the enduring tradition of South Asian miniature painting. Using a circular form that recalls foliage, each mark is inspired by historic depictions of trees from 16th-century subcontinental art. Upon close inspection, the forms appear as individual leaves; viewed as a whole, they form a forest—a symbol of life, resilience, and hope. In colour, red and white trees evoke Denmark’s flag, while green and white trees represent Pakistan. Together, these trees also resemble thumbprints, symbolising the people of both nations and celebrating a shared legacy. This stamp reflects our countries’ intertwined histories and our hope for a future rooted in environmental awareness and sustainability.
