A solo exhibition of recent works by British–Pakistani artist Faiza Butt, titled ‘you miss more than you see’, is now on view at our contemporary art space!
Faiza Butt’s latest body of work is profoundly rooted in her exploration of the human condition, intertwining personal narratives with art historical influences. Using her closest family members as subjects, Butt taps into universal themes of connection and identity, inviting the viewer to consider the shared experiences that define us—whether as children, parents, or simply as individuals navigating a complex world. In these turbulent times, she challenges us to reflect on what we notice and, more importantly, what we might overlook. She adds: ‘As an artist, I intentionally blend the personal with the professional, using my unique observations as a narrative that resonates universally’.
The exhibition is on view until 12 November 2024.
