It is a space of comfort, warmth, and safety; it constitutes people and relationships; it is precarious, fragile, temporal; it is a place to gather, to care and be cared for; it is my cats, plants, and the slugs who have found a home in the terracotta pots; it is a place where my body feels grounded and held.’
Anchored in the tender moments of love and kinship, Fiza Khatri’s beautiful paintings @artbasel explored themes of intimacy, caretaking, community, coursing with affection and pulling us through the various spaces in which the artist operates.
